Osmia





 Osmia is a nesting help for wild bees.
 The project is inspired by how bees orientate
 towards the world of colours and patterns and
 how people can contribute to the protection of
 wild bees, which are important for the ecosytem.
 The entrance hole is on the coloured front side, 
 so that the nesting spaces are protected even
when the wind shifts. The flat design allows the
nesting help to be tied to the tree as well as attached
to the balcony. Nevertheless, it is ensured that the
hollows are warm and surrounded by sufficient
insulating material. The design of the front is developed
based on the colour space perceived by bees and their
preferred geometries.
