The Newcomer Award from the German Design Council is a one-off award and promotes young designers who draw attention to themselves through exceptional achievements and creative talent. The reputation of the competition and the international publicity associated with it are particularly valuable for the young designers. You cannot apply for the award – representatives of universities or the German Design Council propose the nominees.
